Am I Pregnant?
During early pregnancy, your body experiences many changes. Some of the most common early symptoms include:

• A late or missed period
• Mild cramping
• Nausea or morning sickness
• Breast tenderness
• Frequent urination
• Fatigue
• Mood swings
   

These symptoms can vary from person to person and may also be caused by other conditions. The only way to know for sure is to take a pregnancy test.

How Pregnancy Tests Work
Pregnancy tests detect a hormone called hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin), which is produced by the developing placenta shortly after conception.

While hCG can sometimes be detected as early as 7–10 days after conception, the most accurate time to test is after your first missed period. Testing too early may lead to a false negative and require retesting later.

How long will my appointment take?
Your appointment will take approximately 45 minutes. You do not need a morning urine sample—our tests are accurate any time of day.

Are your pregnancy tests accurate?
Yes. We use the same laboratory-quality tests trusted by hospitals and physicians. Under normal circumstances, pregnancy can be detected 7–10 days after conception.

 Free Limited Obstetrical Ultrasound

At Life’s Connection, we offer free limited obstetrical ultrasounds to clients who receive a positive pregnancy test at any of our centers.

The purpose of a limited ultrasound is to:

• Confirm pregnancy 
• Determine viability (whether the pregnancy is developing in the uterus with a detectable heartbeat)
• Estimate gestational age (how far along you are)
   

A viable pregnancy means the fetus is located within the uterus and a heartbeat is present, as determined by a trained medical professional.

Please note:
Our ultrasounds are not used to diagnose birth defects or complications, nor are they performed to determine the sex of the baby.

If your pregnancy test is positive, you may qualify for a free ultrasound to help determine your next steps with confidence and care.

There is a lot to think about, and this is a time to gather all the information you can, and be fully informed and educated about all your choices.
